iRescueRadio 022: Somali Pirates, Nurse Fired Mid-Surgery and a Scenario

In this week’s episode of iRescueRadio, we discuss the Somali Pirates in the Gulf of Aden.  We discuss provisions that are being created to help repel pirates, including non-lethal weaponry.

The Hot Topic this week is about the nurse that was called out of surgery only to find she’s been fired.  What does this say about the state of the health care system in the country?

For what the heck would you do, we have a scenario dealing with figuring out the diagnoses of a patient with only hearing what the patient is saying.  We also talk about how to proceed in the diagnoses based on the variables that we’ve identified.

  1. Please get a life, when are the yellow bellies that is in charge of our freedom much less our life get real. Boy (high- tech weapons) to repel pirates. I am not real educated, but have been in security for over 32 years. There is something new on the market I herd the other day they are called EAR PLUGS and what if the pirates could get some of them in the black market. It does not take brains to figure that out. It is called common since. Put Security Officers with weapons on our ships with rights to defend the crews life. Ray Versiga, Grand Bay, Alabama
